The Hiker Podcast | Day Hiking, Backpacking, Thru Hiking
Each week new hiker Andy Neal, takes you on a journey to demystify hiking. Andy sits down with voices in the outdoor and hiking community, getting to know the hikers behind the trekking poles. Hikers tell stories of how hiking has inspired them to grow, create, and better the environment, getting past the how and to the why of hiking. A show for those first starting out on the trail and for experienced thru-hikers!

Finding Adventurers in all walks of life with Andy Neal!
Formally known as TheHiker Podcast, Host Andy Neal (@andyfilmsandhikes) talks with people from all walks of life to find out how adventure has changed them and how are they now changing the world around them.
What happens when you mix solo travel, stunt work, Emmy-nominated storytelling, and a deep love for wild places? You get Alice Ford.
This week on The Adventure Is Out There Podcast, Andy Neal sits down with Alice Ford—stuntwoman, TV host, outdoor creator, and the visionary behind the PBS show Alice’s Adventures on Earth.
Alice’s path has been anything but linear: from a childhood spent running barefoot through the woods of New Hampshire, to doubling actors in Stranger Things and Transformers, to filming herself trekking through some of the most remote places on earth. In a world that often says you need a beard and a flannel to host outdoor TV, Alice forged her own path—pitching networks, building a YouTube audience from scratch, and taking her camera (and tripod) into the wild solo.
In this episode, we talk about: – Breaking into Hollywood stunts (and why most doors were closed)
– Starting her own travel docuseries and landing it on PBS
– What it's really like filming alone outdoors as a woman
– The ethics of outdoor content creation and stewardship
– Her time living with disappearing Indigenous tribes—and how it changed her
– Advice for aspiring outdoor creators (spoiler: it’s not just about going viral)
If you care about nature, storytelling, or simply doing the hard thing when the easy thing would’ve been easier—this conversation is for you.

The Orvis Fly-Fishing Podcast
Produced by The Orvis Company and hosted by Tom Rosenbauer, author of The Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide, this podcast will provide you with tips on how to get the most of your time on the water.

Produced by The Orvis Company and hosted by Tom Rosenbauer, author of The Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide, this podcast will provide you with tips on how to get the most of your time on the water. Read more about Orvis at www.orvis.com/podcast.
I get a lot of questions about wader care, storage, and washing instructions. Fit can also affect how long waders last and how comfortable they are. Waders are one of our most expensive purchases, outside of a rod and reel, and in order to make them last longer we need to take good care of them, so they stay waterproof and comfortable. My guest this week is Natalie Cullum [27:14], Orvis product developer in charge of waders and technical outerwear. She knows all about the fabric used in waders, the technology involved in their construction, and how critical fit is in their comfort and durability. If you are looking for a new pair of waders this season, or if you want to make your current pair of waders last longer, this podcast is essential listening. In the Fly Box this week, we have some interesting questions and tips from listeners, including:
- Is the Orvis Tippet Knot a suitable substitute for the blood knot?
- Do you think there is a chance that dry-fly purism will come back?
- Does a saltwater line cast worse in fresh water?
- Can you suggest a use for the fluffy material at the base of a Coq de Leon feather?
- Do you have any tips for dry flies in salt water?
- A listener suggests some kind of national organization to purchase public lands that are planned on being sold as part of the inflation reduction act.
- Will there be Orvis Pro Wading Boots in size 15?
- What is it that Tom brings on the water that most people might not have in their pack or vest?
- I keep catching landlocked salmon of the same size. Can you suggest a way to target the bigger ones?

Trails Worth Hiking
On Trails Worth Hiking, we bring you the most interesting backpacking and trekking routes in the world. Every trail has a story. In the first part of each episode, we tell you the stories behind the trail. In the second part, we tell you how to hike the trail. In each episode, guests who have hiked the trail join Jeremy, our host, to talk about the experience of hiking it. Join us on each episode as we hear the story, then hike the trail.

Rajan Simkhada, of Earthbound Expeditions in Nepal, joins Jeremy to talk about this new route from south to north across Nepal, which Rajan pioneered. The route takes trekkers from the Indian border on the plains of Southern Nepal through the foothills of the Himalayas, and finally through the high Himalayas to the border with China. Along the way, trekkers experience a wide variety of cities and towns, and the various etnnic groups and cultures that inhabit them. This is a new trek in Nepal like no other, and gives trekkers the opportunity to hike in the winter in Nepal. Truth From The Stand Deer Hunting Podcast
Covering all things whitetail, the Truth From The Stand Deer Hunting Podcast is the place to get your deer hunting stories, deer hunting tips and more. If you’re not sure what a podcast is, it’s basically an online radio show. We’ll launch a new podcast each month exploring topics across the landscape of deer and deer hunting. So take your time and enjoy each episode and be sure to subscribe to the podcast and take us with you across all your devices. Whether in the car or at work, we could all use a little more deer hunting in our lives!

Covering all things DIY whitetail hunting, the Truth From The Stand Deer Hunting Podcast is the place to get your deer hunting stories, deer hunting tips and more. We’ll launch a new podcast each week exploring topics across the landscape of deer and deer hunting. So take your time and enjoy each episode and be sure to subscribe to the podcast and take us with you across all your devices. Whether in the car or at work, we could all use a little more deer hunting in our lives!
On this episode of the Truth From The Stand podcast, I’m joined by my buddy Tyler Jones—someone you probably know from The Element crew. We get into the thick of it: deer hunting, turkey hunting, road trips, and all the curveballs that come from chasing critters in places you’ve never stepped foot in. But this conversation goes deeper than just chasing mature bucks and birds.
We talk about how life on the road chasing music dreams actually mirrors the pursuit of becoming a better hunter. Tyler shares what it’s like trying to balance it all—travel, family, and the grit it takes to keep moving forward when everything tells you to quit. There’s plenty of humility, a fair share of laughs, and some honest talk about the kind of perspective that only comes after missing more than you hit.
We dig into how failure can be the best teacher, why staying grateful matters more than you think, and how adapting in the field—and in life—is what separates those who keep growing from those who give up. This one’s as much about personal growth as it is about hunting. Hope you enjoy it.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM PODCAST 437
- Hunting, touring bands, and travel hunts all teach grit and resilience.
- Comfort isn’t guaranteed when you’re travel hunting in new places—it’s part of the fun.
- Failure, both in the field and in life, often teaches more than success ever could.
- Balancing family, passion, and purpose is messy—but it’s where growth happens.
- Humility, not ego, is the key to becoming a better hunter and a better person.
- The path to mastery—whether in hunting or life—is about learning, adapting, and showing up.
- Gratitude and perspective can turn even the toughest moments into something meaningful.
